Keiichi "Ken-San" Shimizu was born in Fukushima Japan and is widely acclaimed as one of the best sushi chefs in the Southeast, if not the country. Customers come from near and far for a sampling of Ken-San's creations and never leave unsatisfied. And you won't either!
Mimi Shimizu, the heart and soul of Irashiai, is a native of Korea. She too has quite a flair for creative cooking and many of her inventions have become staples of the Irashiai diet. Her familiar smile and cry of "Irashiai Mase!" (Welcome, come in!) as you walk in the door will make you feel like one of the Irashiai family.
